Self Propelled Adventures
Very happy to be on the overnight bus with my bike to Puerto Varas. The flight to Santiago went well and Turbus was a brilliant way to get downtown. Enjoyed walking through the university grounds, to the Museum of Memory and Human Rights and back.
I will unbox, build and ride a short distance tomorrow to Puerto Montt. Ride begins in earnest on Saturday after an overnight ferry trip to Chatien.

Looking forward to my virtual ride! I used to cycle a lot “in my youth” and know how much it can be – the sense of achievement is incredible so for you it will be off the scale.

Thanks Geoff. It really is a bit of a high once the trip gets underway. The solo trip for me is a physical challenge within a context of learning about people and places along the way. The focus each day is to successfully complete the ride in a given time.
