Morning ride with some uphill but mostly stunning descents. Decided to turn left and head for Chico Chile for a noon ferry and planning for crossing back onto Chile via Paso Robales.

I hope the road that winds back and forth was a downhill run for you! Your ride reminds me that some parts of the world are not being ravaged by reckless politicians who do not care at all about the environment.

With every downhill run there is a necessary climb. I have a 10 km climb ahead of me now in the rain which I am trying to avoid by making coffee and snacking on Choco Sandwich – Chilean Oreos.

Such unusual landscapes and nice campgrounds. Is no one else around.

Interestingly, not really. I was the first to arrive at the campsite, no staff around but everything operating. (Water, bathrooms, etc..) two small groups arrived at dusk – and for the most part roads have been the same.
