A final clear sky night and hike out to the West Coast Trail Express taking us back to our indoor lives.

Our final night after another short 4km day. The last restful days will set us up well for the 12 km hike to finish the trail tomorrow.

Incredible wolf sighting in the morning before hiking to our next beach. The sun just can’t seem to stay away with eagles overhead and whales off the coast.

A rest day of sorts with the short 2 km hike to Klanawa taking place after hanging around on the beach by the falls till late afternoon.

Before the swim under the falls this longest of days included a morning beach walk with final forest sections to an extended lunch stop at the Crab Shack. After crossing the narrows, a stunning cliff side walk followed by beaches past the Hole-in-Wall and finally to our camp for the night. Sunshine and warmth greeted…

A day in the forest with ladders, bridges and cable cars. Lunch with a refreshing swim provided a welcome break on another beautiful but long day with heavy packs.

A 3 hour rocky shore walk brought us to Owen Point and views of the open Pacific. A bear feasting on the low tides snacks, wanted nothing to do with us and fled into the forest on noticing us approaching. Our line along the banks forced the bear towards Alexis , with a momentarily heart…
