Iya “Hi-no-Ji” Valley

We are in our tents ready to sleep at 8pm tonight after two days of continuous motion from Kyoto to the Iya Valley with the help of a 1am to 5am ferry crossing from Kobe to Takematsu. The valleys, canyons, and gorges are a stunning contrast to landscapes we have seen so far.

Hey! You’re on Shikoku! Lar and I lived in Niihama and then Saijo…but Kochi is very nice (the south coast) if you are going that direction…But I imagine you already have it all planned out. Enjoy!

    1. Well we are not far away from there. We are in Ozu playing “The Dancing Criminal” with a few English learners and some foreign English Language teachers from Trinidad and Tobago, London(UK), and Chicago.
